John May, born abt 1811 in Westleigh.

Married Elizabeth (Betsy) Short and had six children,They lived at Little Southcott.

John married Rebecca Blight from Woolfardisworthy and they had seven sons and then moved to Britton Ferry in South Wales.

Henry – b.1847,

George – b.1850 all born in Westleigh.
